OWNERS OR HOLDERS OF ANY INTEREST IN REAL PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 5673 W. PALESTINE 2ND ST.,MENTONE, IN 46539

Pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-9-1 et seq., as adopted by Kosciusko County Ordinance 11-11-22-001, Jerry Brown and Lorraine Brown were ordered on May 17, 2016 to demolish and remove the unsafe building located on real property situate in Kosciusko County, Indiana, which real property is commonly known as 5673 W. Palestine 2nd St., Mentone, Indiana 46539, and legally described as follows:Lot Number Eight-One (81) in the Town of Palestine, Indiana, as recorded in Plat Book 3, page 353, in the Office of the Recorder of Kosciusko County, Indiana.That the said order was affirmed by the Hearing Authority on June 30, 2016, but that the order was not complied with, and that, accordingly, a contract is to be let at public bid to a contractor with all necessary licensing and legal qualifications and who is bonded to accomplish work to comply with the order. That the work to be the demolition and removal of the unsafe building located at 5673 W. Palestine 2nd St., Mentone, Indiana 46539, including pumping and filling of any septic tank and/or drywell and grading and seeding, but excluding removal of concrete slab foundations. All garbage and debris must be removed from the premises.Both the bid price of the contractor who accomplishes the work and an amount representing a reasonable estimate of the cost incurred by the enforcement authority in processing the matter of the unsafe premises may, if not paid, be recorded after a hearing as a lien against all persons having a fee interest, life estate interest, or equitable interest of a contract purchaser in the unsafe premises.Sealed bids will be received by the Kosciusko County Health Department, at 100 West Center Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580 until 1:30 PM prevailing local time on the 13th day of October, 2016.
